The Divine Spark

I believe deep in my soul, & always have, that we are a ‘spark of the Divine’. I know that we all carry that spark – that Light – that infinite wisdom and wonder within us. I teach this philosophy in my classes, in my courses, in my bodywork and in my life (as best I can). We are infinite creations of the One Source Energy (regardless of what you call God, Nature, the Universe, Source, etc.).

I also believe that when we came to this incredible planet, we were given the gift of ‘forgetting that Divine connection,’ allowing us to be human and experience life and living through this 3D reality. As humans, we have free will choice to make decisions for ourselves as we lean into life, living and learning.
Forgetting our divine essence is both a blessing and a challenge as we navigate the complexities of life here on Earth.

Our work – our purpose is to become the best version of ourselves. We are meant to really dive deep within and get to know our truest essence – our gifts – our unique fibre of being. As we excavate that Truth, we are meant to bring these gifts into the world in what we do, in how we do it and in developing relationships, and connections as we grow and heal. No one can ‘be or do’ us like we can. We are unique.

We all have unique abilities, gifts, characteristics, and personalities. Our job is to figure those out for ourselves, learn what they can teach us about ourselves, about being a better person, and about how to give back to the whole in our own ways. As we expand in consciousness, we create more love, kindness, joy, empathy, and laughter. We inspire others to do their work and find their way home to their hearts to recognize their worth, their value and their divine gifts.

We are meant to connect with others to further expand these qualities and gifts. We are meant to walk alongside each other on this journey – not to do their life for them, but rather to hold their hand in challenging times and celebrate the victories as we all expand the consciousness of humanity by remembering and then stepping into that responsibility.

I’m not sure about you and your experience, but the messages I got growing up from society and friends was to ‘not look within, not look at ourselves with love, respect and honouring, but to support and uplift others as they walk their life. This message is detrimental to healing, taking responsibility for our lives and working to become more aware as contributing members of this human community.

We need to know ourselves better. We need to understand ourselves better. We need to love ourselves more. We need to value our contributions. We need to be productive members of a loving existence. We need to respect ourselves and others on our journeys in life and know we must do our own work. As we become aware of our shortcomings, our patterns, our limiting thoughts, and our beliefs, we can work consciously to heal and shift what doesn’t serve our highest good and greatest joy.

We need to understand why we act in certain ways so we can shift what is necessary within and around us. As we love and accept ourselves as perfectly imperfect (which is perfect), we can enhance what fuels our hearts and souls, as we uplift our spirits to become a better version of ourselves.

It's time to remember your worth, to bring the best version of yourself to this amazing and challenging world. We need everyone to step in and step up. Let’s do this.
